Don McArthur, CDT
Don joined the dental profession in 1979 when he was convinced by his brother to leave the oil fields of Utah and Wyoming to move to Northern Virginia to enter the dental lab business.
Don became a dental technician primarily by years of on the job training coupled with his desire for continuing education to include the Peter E. Dawson course in St. Petersburg, FL.
Don operated his own dental laboratory in Virginia for 11 years prior to working for a larger lab as a manager. In 1990 he became a Certified Dental Technician.
In 1997 Don was offered a position to manage the Finishing Department for GDL. Ever since, he has been actively involved with the ever-changing dental industry including implants, zirconia, CAD-CAM technology, all while holding on to the tried-and-true PFMs, gold crowns and partial dentures with precision attachments.
Residents of Snellville, Don and his wife Lori, have 3 adult children and 1 grandchild. Don enjoys spending time with friends and family. He loves many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, mountain exploration and the beach.
